As you may know the netherlands beat the US and Britian by far in a UNICIF study on happy healthy children. It has everyone guessing why. What do you think?

Haha yes, we get the freedom to find out for ourselves what's good and bad. We learn much from other cultures, we live so close to each other. Hopefully the Dutch will be more open for other religions to, in the future. The test didn't say much to me because all countries tested, are all the same.
I think you're right. We in America could learn something. I have two teenagers and have a keen interest in such things. My daughter, in fact, is a little smitten by a Dutch exchange student at the High School.
I am also interested in your "open to other religions," statement. There's a fairly popular pundant spouting off about Europe and the Dutch man killed by a Muslim. He says Europe will be taken aver by them in 20 or so years because they are out-breeding the natives and they don't assimilate. I think he's nuts.
Well, my generation lives together with Moslims. There religion is more spiritueel. I and many others think Europe will be Moslim in the future. When new thinks come, some people get scared like Bush. But chirdren in the Netherlands live so close to the new thinks. They maybe see as first that you have to learn instead of fight agains it. It's lots more easy for us then our parents. They didn't see moslim's every day. We have Moslim friends. People like Pim Fortuiyn and now Geert Wilders use the feeling of fear aggainst new thinks. You see a very increase of interest in the Netherlands about Budism. There is a big Changing going on and we stand on the beginning. Maybe thats why we are so happy :)
Bush may be scared or just pushing the fear button to get people on his quest for war. Maybe that is why the Dutch are so happy, freedom of religion is great.
Hmmm yes, outside the city they are years behind. Some rasist groups are a little problem here. I think Clinton or Obama are going to do good to the world and the U.S. I hope.
